Political views in brief (no character is completely neutral after a great war):
Kingsley is very much anti the recent terrorist movement. Those who sided with Voldemort should be brought to justice, with sentences equivalent to their crimes and the same goes for those who are currently stirring up trouble. However, he does not agree with lashing out against Slytherins who did not support Voldemort. The Wizarding World has been divided enough, now is the time when they need to come back together.

What your character did in the two years between the end of DH and the beginning of Ascendant (1 May 2000):
Paperwork, lots and lots of paperwork. Seriously, cleaning out the corruption in the Ministry, and reorganizing/redefining departments, positions ect. as needed. He has also been trying to keep the anti-Slytherin movements from becoming actual legislation. Also, through the Auror office, he has been trying to round up the last of Voldemort’s supporters.

What your character is doing now. (Occupation, plans, etc):
Minister of Magic. He is focused on rebuilding their world, stopping anyone who tries to threaten the peace, and trying to heal their fractured world. (*boggles* Wow that sounds pretentious.)


Anything else?:
Kingsley has a calm, laid back personality, though he takes his duties seriously. When making decisions he analyzes the situation, decides on a course of action and carries it out without any undue emotional drama. However those who have fought beside him (or against him) know that in the heat of battle, his calm, amiable nature disappears and he becomes a ruthless, almost vicious warrior.

Kingsley is a workaholic. He has lost a lot of frinds and comrades in both wars as well as a few who fell in the line of duty in between. He copes by constantly pushing foward, always taking on new challenges. He has adapted well to the post-war era only becasue he has important goals and challenges to be working towards (Re-making the Ministry, dealing with terrorists, rebuilding and pulling the Wizarding world back together). By focusing all his energy on this work he is able to put off dealing with his emotions in the wake of the war.

As Minister of Magic he tries to remain approchable and open to the needs and suggestions of the Wizarding World.
